Noke Bio: Angela Van Two Driver

This is Angela. Ange for short.

Ange has my favorite bio picture. (How cute is she?) Do you recognize that place? If you don't, let me just tell you, only the truly awesome ever cross that finish line.

Ange is just a small town girl...ok, stop singing. For real, Ange grew up on a small horse farm in MN, which I believe is the abbreviation for Minnesota. Could be Maine. I know it's a state that has an M and an N in it. I'm feeling pretty confident that it's Minnesota.

Ange stepped up to be one of our van drivers because, and I quote, "Sunshine is so Awesome, I wanted to spend more time with her."

I mean, that may not be an EXACT quote, but I have control of the form she filled out, so you'll never know. If Zahner is reading this, she absolutely did NOT claim YOU as awesome.

In addition to being one of my new favorites for her willingness to drive the obnoxiously pre-coffee hour happy Van Two folks around for two days, Ange also fully gets what Girls on the Run is about. She remembers being picked last in gym class and being told to stick to books and reading. How many of us can relate to that? So, Ange understands how powerful a program like Girls on the Run can be in helping those that aren't the athletic stand outs discover their own strength and develop their confidence. Thus, she was drawn to join our team not only because of me, but also because she wants to support this important organization.

I am a tad jealous of Van Two only because Ange has sung in Carnegie Hall three times. So, girl can sing. And if you know me at all, you know I can get a bit fan-girl over people with musical talents. She can also Irish step dance, which I'm hoping will take me back to my Irish Catholic school days if she'll perform along the relay route.

We're all so grateful that Ange stepped up to volunteer to drive Van Two for us. She's going to have so much to deal with. Luckily, her beautiful smile seems to be unwavering.

(And ok, she said we were ALL awesome. But I'm pretty sure she was directing that to me...)
