Noke Bio: Courtney aka Coach

This is Courtney. Most people call her Court. I just call her Coach.

Court is married to a Floridian hunk (no she said this, so it's totally cool that I repeat it) who she met when he sent a baseball into the stands to her because he's just that bold. And she's mama to two completely adorable cat kids, Vin and Leo. (I've told y'all about her teacher mom voice, right? She used that on me once. Got me all in my feelings. I'm not sure if she perfected it in her role as a school psychologist or cat mom. Probably both.)

While she did some running in high school (apparently softball requires conditioning...I guess you have to run or something if you actually hit the ball...I wouldn't know), she really found her love for running in grad school. When she joined C & C Runners this past year (do y'all know our C & C team? If not, you should), she found her people and kicked her running into high gear (see what I did there?).

Court ran Four on the Fourth last year and hasn't looked back. Since then she has taken on two half marathons, some 10k's, and a ridiculous hard 15+ mile trail run up and down the mountains of Carvins Cove. (Have y'all done Conquer the Cove? It's like 3 miles of straight up smack in the middle. Like, makes you question why you make certain choices crazy hard. Sorry. Flashbacks.)

She claims to only be half crazy because her favorite race distance is the half marathon. But this girl committed to this Ragnar voluntarily, so I'm gonna have to say she's fully diagnosable. Plus, she's happy to be in Van Two with the other chipper morning people, which I find really odd.

But despite her crazy, she's also pretty badass. This chick overcame disordered eating to become one of the healthiest, most inspiring, most motivated people I know. I'm lucky to count her as a friend. (As long as it's not 4:30am)

Court is excited to support Girls on the Run through something she loves. She wants to show people that you can become a runner and that your mind is truly your limitation. Just push on through those doubts and kick ass.

If you want to get on her good side, give her brownies. And maybe save some for me, too.
